Inappropriate? You need to specify the user you're posting as now:
twitter [tweet] as [username]
example:
twitter This is a great tweet! as johnappleseed -
With firefox you can't do that. It only tweets for whoever your logged in as! And even tough firefox remembers my password, Ubiquity says it doesn't! -
well, is there a way to disable that? I only use one twitter accoun! -

Inappropriate?I was logged into Twitter, and I specified my username in the ubiquity command ("twitter [content] as [twitter username]"). Ubiquity still popped up telling me that it couldn't remember my password and it asked me to log in and have Firefox remember my password.
I don't have Firefox remember any of my passwords (in case of eventualities like my laptop being stolen or Firefox somehow being compromised). This used to not be an issue with Ubiquity. If I wasn't logged into Twitter, it would pop up with a dialogue box that allowed me to submit my username and password, and then it would go onto post my tweet.
Any idea why they decided to change that? Was it to add support for people tweeting with multiple twitter accounts? (I for one only use one twitter account, but then again, that's just me.) -
Inappropriate?Hi shoren18, sorry for this inconvenience... We actually changed the way the twitter command works because of this bug:
"Twitter Command auth dialog is invisible on FF 3.0 and greater on OS X"
https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/trac/tic...
So while the Twitter command was working okay for people on Windows and Linux, it wasn't working at all for people on OS X, so I implemented a workaround that removed the modal dialog box entirely; but I didn't realize that would mess with your use case. :( Sorry about that--I've got a solution in mind and will implement it as soon as I can. -
Inappropriate?Just fixed the problem over the past few days--we'll be pushing a new release of Ubiquity very soon so that this problem is resolved ASAP!
