Ubiquity 0.1.8 is useless :-S
I found and update for Ubiquity & installed thinking it would give me the version which owns the recent buzz. Turned out it's not working any more with my command
Then I downloaded the version available on Mozilla addons site which read 0.1.8 as the version. My command page didn't show up the configure button with this new version. Then with help of #ubiquity IRC channel on irc.mozilla.org I reset Ubiquity & my command page showed up the subscribe button. I subscribe to my command.
The irc channel told me that I have to upgrade my command to new API. about:ubiquity page leads me to old API docs, irc channel gave me 0.5 API docs. I just copy pasted a sample code in my command editor.
And here comes the great news *drum rolls* Ubiquity doesn't work. Can't type in anything in the interface. After resatarting firefox, nope. After resetting Ubiquity, bad luck sire.
Hope this will help in Ubiquity development.

Inappropriate?Okay, there are a few issues going on here:
The preview release of Ubiquity is available here: https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/xpi/ubiquity-latest-beta.xpi. This is a preview release of 0.5. The version on addons.mozilla.org will always be the most recent stable release, which at this point is 0.1.8.
The second is the issue with the Ubiquity install. This is something we are actively working on, but right now are having trouble pinpointing the problem. So let's try some troubleshooting!
1) What version of Firefox are you running? On what operating system?
2) Are you able to access "about:ubiquity" when you type it into the address bar?
3) If you open up the Error Console (tools->error console), do you see any errors reported there related to Ubiquity?
4) Are you running NoScript?
Once we have the answers to these questions, I might be better able to help you get Ubiquity running.
Thanks,

1)Firefox 3.0.8, Ubuntu GNU/Linux 9.04
2)Yes
3)Error: gUbiquity is null
4)No NoScript -
Inappropriate?Chanux,
The next troubleshooting step is to see if upgrading to the 0.5pre version fixes the problem. https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/xpi/ubiquity-latest-beta.xpi
