Ubiquity as Web PowerShell / unifying scripting framework
think an equivalent to Microsoft Powershell (erk!) or any flavor of Unix shell as an unifying framework
- "manipulating" (downloading, installing) .xpi extensions / Greasemonkeys scripts / Ubiquity verbs
- managing them (activating, desactivating on the fly), modyfing their settings, integrating their shortkeys like native Ubiquity verbs
with an alias command (and a templating engine for batch renaming)
- to rename at will the available commands to your flavour of choice
- to manage naming conflicts between ff extensions, gm scripts & "U verbs" on the fly
- to localize your interaction with Ubiquity in YOUR natural and/or programming language
with Unix pipes
with ZZ Cell Programming (http://www.xanadu.net/zigzag/fw99/ZZc...) a method of selecting command options that reduces the confusion and massive confrontation of this standard command-line interface. Currently there are only two ways of working with Unix-- either dumb selection in Xwindows or full-bore typing of command lines with the hyphenated options, which are incredibly hard to deal with.
