Ubiquity slowing down and disrupting browser

When Ubiquity is enabled, the top buttons (file, edit, tools etc) will not work or take several minutes to register clicking on it, and the tabs take a few minutes to load if I make a new one. Once I disable it on the add ons screen everything works fine again.
I am using version 0.1.3rc4
