Ubiquity will not add events to my google calendar properly
Ubiquity will not allow me to add events to my google calendar! For instance, if I type, "2pm rehearsal friday" and execute with the google calendar events command, Ubiquity opens a window that says:
File not found:
Firefox can't find the file at chrome://ubiquity/content/bug19warning.html.
* Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
* Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
How can I solve this? Also note that I am using a mac; I'm not sure if that is related to the problem.

Inappropriate?I'm not sure what's going on with calendar there, but I just realized that I must have missed a linkage when we changed the HTML files to XHTML. The bug19 warning is basically this:
Ubiquity tried to display a transparent message but failed.
Due to a bug in Ubiquity under OS X, you may need to install Growl if you haven't already done so. Afterwards you may also need to restart Firefox.
Our apologies for the inconvenience. -
I both have installed Growl and restarted firefox but there's always the same error message popping up in a new tab (Firefox can't find the file at chrome://ubiquity/content/bug19warning.html). What to do? -
Inappropriate?I don't know why this problem is still in the open. Or I might just don't see the solution to it...
I’m disappointed that nothing happens here.
-
Inappropriate? Is this still attempting to open up bug19warning.HTML and not .XHTML which is throwing the error?
If you could give me an example of the command you're using which causes this, I'll try to track it down and have it fixed in the next version. I though I found all instances of this but apparently not. It should be pointing to the updated xhtml instead of giving a not found error.
I’m sorry about that.

Inappropriate? The error html just appears after every (re)start of firefox. And it has two suggestions:
# Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
# Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
But I don't really know what to check cause I didn't do anything with neither firefox nor ubiquity... :( -
this is exactly my problem. Error happens on every restart of FF -
OK, that's just a generic Firefox local file not found error, although I'm trying to understand what's triggering it... From what I can gather you're not invoking anything through Ubiquity so If it's bug19, it's probably trying to display a growl message. The contents of that message are unknown to me at the moment, but it's failing and then trying to display the bug19 error page and we're pointing it to it's old location somewhere.
I'm going to do some digging and see where that's being referenced and hopefully clear it up in the next version. What version of Ubiquity are you currently running at the moment? -
Inappropriate? At this point, Ubiquity is telling me to make sure I'm signed into google calendar (which I am) and doesn't add the event (this is when using the command: add to google calendar ___.)
I’m a bit bummed
-
Inappropriate?Odd, I'm not having this problem but then again I'm on Windows running 0.5.5pre7 and not using growl. What version of Ubiquity is everyone who has this problem using? 0.5.4?
You can see which version you're using if you open about:ubiquity in a tab or by going to tools > add-ons within Firefox. Any more info you can give us like which OS you're running and if Growl (or other notification service is installed) helps. -
Ubiquity 0.5.4, FF 3.5.2, OS X 10.6, Growl 1.2b1 -
Ubiquity 0.5.4, FF 3.5.2, OS X 10.5.8, Growl 1.1.6 -
Inappropriate?I'm on 10.5.8 running FF3.5 and I see the bug19warning message EVERY time I open FF. Other than that, ubiquity seems to be running fine. Annoying as hell, because it comes up instead of my start page... Anyone?
-
Inappropriate?I'm also having similar problems with many different commands. For instance, if I try to get my last mail from gmail or if I try to add an event to a calendar.
The error is always the same:
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at chrome://ubiquity/content/bug19warning.html.
I'm running Ubiquity 0.5.4, Firefox 3.5.3, OS X 10.4, and I don't have Growl installed.
I checked the folder where the extension is installed, and the file is missing indeed, but there is a corresponding file with xhtml extension. I guess the "no growl" error is not redirecting to the right error file.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? In response to the problem with: chrome://ubiquity/content/bug19warning.html , yes if you switch the extension to .xhtml then the correct error message shows up.
More importantly, try restarting Growl. After I restarted Growl, I correctly received Growl messages from Ubiquity and did NOT get the tab opening with the bug19warning page.
I’m thankful that restarting Growl fixed the bug19warning problem
