Ubiquity won't have any command after update to 0.1.6
After upgrading Ubiquity from 0.1.5 to 0.1.6, commands are no more existing, even if my suscribing list is still the same.
I tried resetting factory Ubiquity parameters, deleting every file related to ubiquity (including the sqlite files), but the problem is still there on two different computers.

This is fixed in the latest source: https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/hg/ubiqu...
Cers was able to reproduce, and therefore test and verify the change.
Sorry, I owe you all a beer.

Inappropriate? We are aware of this problem, which seems to affect mainly linux-users, and mainly users of Firefox 3.1 and newer. The exact cause is as of yet not determined, but we are still investigating.
Could you please provide your OS information and Firefox version?
Best regards,

Inappropriate?I had this prob when I upgraded to 1.5. I had to uninstall the upgrade and re-install from scratch. I did not upgrade to 1.6 yet for fear of this happening. Hopefully the core team can fix this prior to future upgrades.

Inappropriate?Of course :)
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 (testing version, not yet released, but updated daily) with Minefield 3.2a1pre nightly (20 Feb. snapshot as for now)
Indeed, it works fine with Firefox 3.0.6 on the same computer.

Inappropriate?Flock 2.0.3, Ubiquity 0.1.6, Mac OS 10.5.6

Inappropriate?Im using 0.1.6rc1 on firefox 3.0.6 (ubuntus build) in Ubuntu 8.10
but have NOT had the problems listed above

Inappropriate?Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009020407 Iceweasel/3.0.6 (Debian-3.0.6-1)
Ubiquity 0.1.6
Also, not sure if this is related, but from the error console:
Warning: nsUbiquity not available, using standard Components.utils.evalInSandbox() instead (TypeError: Components.classes['@labs.mozilla.com/ubiquity;1'] is undefined).
Source File: file:///--censored--/extensions/ubiquity@labs.mozilla.com/modules/sandboxfactory.js

The command list shows no commands; I can summon Ubiquity, but no commands work there either, including "help" and "command-list". -
Inappropriate?A little update: we have identified the change that introduced this bug, and are looking into fixing it. Unfortunately, this change happened way back on jan 21, so backing it out might not be an option, as that might break later additions.
We expect to release a fix very soon, so keep posted, and/or check for updates daily.

Inappropriate?Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex): Both Ubiquity 0.1.6 and 0.2pre13 (seem to) work fully in Firefox 3.0.6 but not in Flock 2.0.3 - 0.1.5 seems fine though.
The problem: (with Flock) front end shows when called and "about:ubiquity" all working but no commands are present (either in front end or Command List). Importing the Template Command into the Command Editor doesn't bring up "example" command in front end (as it does in FF and 0.1.5 on Flock) - as if front end is oblivious to command system. Have also tried soft linking extension directory in profile directories to no avail.
Well done... I'm enjoying your hard work. A glitch or two is bound to happen when you are doing something so useful and radical.
I’m thankful and excited

thanks for the quick work.

Inappropriate?I am sorry but I fail to see how this is a fix. I believe I now have the latest version of Ubiquity installed (installed from: https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/xpi/ubiq...) and yet I don't have any commands. Perhaps there is something major that I am missing. Are there any instructions on how to get things working again?
I’m a little confused

It is only fixed in source, so until a new release has gone out, you won't notice the change.
You can however run ubiquity from source just fine if you have access to mercurial, or if you do a bit of tinkering and download the source from here: http://ubiquity.mozilla.com/hg/ubiqui...
A new release will go out in a very short while though, so it might not be worth the trouble

Inappropriate?Okay, I'm running Flock 2.0.3, Windows 7 beta (I know, I know). I've uninstalled Ubiquity and re-installed it several times, and even after I re-installed, it'd show me what command feeds I were subscribed to, but I'd still have no commands available (even help doesn't work).
As suggested in Bug report 469, I uninstalled, deleted all the Ubiquity sqlite files, then re-installed. All that did was eliminate the (phantom) Subscribed Feeds panel from the Options page.
Testing Ubiquity gives me this error and 4 skipped tests:
Error in test testTagCommand: undefined (in file:///C:/Users/XXXX/AppData/Roaming/Flock/Browser/Profiles/gvdgqmca.default/extensions/ubiquity@labs.mozilla.com/tests/test_tag_command.js, line 45)
I don't know if the solution provided will fix this as I'm not a coder and don't know what to do with the javascript that's given.
I'm more frustrated with myself that I became so used to hitting CTRL+SPACE to do things that I'm really really missing not being able to use Ubiquity. It's like being without a scroll wheel on a mouse. Yeah, you don't NEED it, but you definitely know when it's gone.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Just an update, 0.1.6.1 and 0.2pre14 are now out, so if your Ubiquity hasn't yet updated, you can manually go to Tools->Add-ons->Find Updates

Inappropriate?I've just verified that 0.1.6.1 indeed fixes this problem, at least for me. Keep up the great work!

Nope, didn't fix it for me. Well, maybe some other time.... -
@rowanrook: That is very strange indeed... if I could get you to report back with your firefox version, ubiquity version and OS (and version) that would be great. - also, do you see any warnings or errors in your Error Console? (in Tools)
