Inappropriate?Just remember Firefox 2 will only be support until the end of this year. That means we will continue to provide security updates until December.
Really, there is no reason to not upgrade, what problems are you having?
I’m in love with Firefox 3

Maybe he's a developer and wants to test on Firefox 2 as well? -
Inappropriate? All Mozilla releases are kept freely available from their public ftp site. Firefox lives here.
Josh, the issue comes from a web development perspective. Firefox 3 is absolutely fantastic and a joy to use — it's without a doubt faster, more powerful and more functional than anything else out there and the best single release of FF yet, but web devs need to know how things are working for those who haven't upgraded. What'd be really useful is knowing how to make both verisons of FF on my hard disk point towards different plug-in folders — so that both can run respectively compatible versions of firebug. -

You should have them point to different profiles, that way the add-on*, Firebug, will be installed in a different located depending on what profile you are running on which version.
I can understand that some people want to test on old version, but most of the time there is an underlining issue I would rather address then just go back to Firefox 2. -
Inappropriate?Thank you, thank you, thank you, Thomas!
Josh, you can love FF3 all you want...enjoy... until you invest a lot of time loading it up with snazzy new Add-ons and then "The Company" decides that it just doesn't cut it anymore, the latest cohort of hotshots comes along, and FF4 is the only game in town. I guess there are those who live for nothing else but spending 26 hours a day upgrading all their software. It's not for me.
You know what? I sometimes have to use my old Netscape 4.7 on my backup computer, and guess what else? The miscreants who dream up viruses, worms, and other things have pretty much forgotten about it.
Besides, Tabs didn't seem to be a problem with FF2 either!
Thanks again, Thomas.
I’m happy and thankful
