Why can't I upload my addon to AMO?
I uploaded my addon to AMO then tried to view it on the Dashboard but it said I had no add ons uploaded. Then I tried to re-upload it and it said this addon is already uploaded :(

Inappropriate?I tried to upload the latest version of the Color Management extension, but I got an error saying there has to be at least one valid Mozilla target app. I had toolkit@mozilla.org defined but I guess the system won't accept that, so I added the Firefox GUID and uploaded again, but I got the same error.
1. toolkit@mozilla.org should be accepted
2. even with {ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384} (the Firefox GUID) I got an error

It turns out I was accidentally uploading an extension version which didn't have the updated target app.
It should still accept toolkit@mozilla.org though. -
Inappropriate?Hello!
I've faced with problem while trying to store my extension for Firefox at AMO site.
The problem is that I've uploaded file with extension and got message that I must add additional information describing my extension, but got Access Denied message. And I can't see my extension as if it wasn't upload.
But when I try to upload it once more I get message that it's already uploaded:
and when I click "upload new version" I get "Access Denied" message:
Are there any way to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Cannot upload add-on XPI file to AMO website. The version of this add-on is invalid: versions cannot contain spaces.
I’m very sad

Inappropriate?Exactly the same problem, already write to amo-admins@mozilla.org, but no respond yet.
Also should to say that search-plugins adds correctly w/o any problems, so the problems only appear with add-ons
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Hey, it's the same problem i have! It's uploads first but than it's says that access denied, all just like Vladimir descrobed!!
I’m fucked(
-
Inappropriate?Ended up solving this myself since I got no responses. Just change your addon id. e.g blah@blah.blah to rat@rat.rat and re-upload it so AMO thinks its a new addon
I’m happy
-
I have been already tryed to solve this issue in this way but anyway i've got such access denied message. -
Yep, i've done over 10 renaming of my only one add-on. That's doesn't help ... :( -
Same problem. Renaming didn't help too. -
Inappropriate?Hi guys. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. It's a known issue and we'll have a fix on AMO shortly. Thank you for your patience.
I’m confident

Please left comment here when bug will be fixed, Thanx -
So how's fixing so far? -
Inappropriate?Report here when it will be fixed please.

Inappropriate?I uploaded my addon, it accepted it. Then I couldnt continue to add details to it. So I tried to update it, but it says he already exists, but when I agree to update it, its says Addon Not Found and I cant do anything else to resubmit. ?
Any fix to this?

Hey Jimbo. I'll look into this to see if it's an issue that's being tracked or a new one. -
Inappropriate?I resolved the issue myself nearly three months ago by renaming the addon ID, but thanks anyway. Hopefully this sorts things out for the guys who renaming didn't work for.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?I renamed the addon ID also, which did allow me to upload, but once I selected to edit the details of the addon, I got a 'Access Denied' message.
-
Inappropriate?Any fix to this? Please!..
-
Jimbo, which is your add-on so i can look into your add-on details? -
Inappropriate?the id of the latest upload is
ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-12a3b9677092
Thanks
I’m being optimistic..
-
Inappropriate? Not sure if my issue is related...
I'm unable to get past the validation step when attempting to upload an update to my add-on.
The extension works locally, and I believe should be valid.
What should I do? -

No validation results are ever shown. I just get: the progress indicator and "Now validating your add-on ...", which never disappears. -
I still haven't discovered the cause of the problem, although ReyBango (of Mozilla) (above) had no issue submitting the add-on file. I'll investigate some more and post back with info... in case anyone else is suffering the same problem. -
To follow up... I just uploaded a new version and everything worked fine, so I really have no idea what the problem was. -
Inappropriate? Now, by changing the ID ive uploaded one, however, when I try to continue to edit it says Access is Denied. Going
back to the dashboard says I don't have any addons hosted on Mozilla.
Can I get any help here or is there a contact at Mozilla I can email directly? -
Inappropriate?I figured it out, thanks to the Bugzilla site. I had an empty <em:homepageurl> tag. I removed it and I was allowed to edit and complete after uploading. Seems like a silly reason to cause this error especially if it validates on upload but it's working now.
1. Download attached install.rdf and change the <em:id> in it to a random ID.
2. Compress the install.rdf prepared in step 1 to an XPI file.
3. Log in to preview.addons.mozilla.org.
4. Submit the XPI file created in step 2 as a new add-on.
5. Click the “Edit My Add-on” button and see where it is linked.
6. Realize that the install.rdf contains an empty <em:homepageurl> element :)
7. Remove the empty <em:homepageurl> element, and compress the new install.rdf
to an XPI file.
8. Submit the XPI file created in step 7 as a new add-on.
</em:homepageurl></em:homepageurl></em:id></em:homepageurl>

Many thanks! -
Inappropriate?I am now able to upload my .xpi and it passes validation, but the links to status and "edit plugin" lead to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/deve...
note the "null" at the end.
I'm in a deep WTF, please help.

Nevermind, removing mailto:... which was my homepage worked
