wikipedia search in other languages
for example (like translate): wikipedia (search) (in language)
wikipedia sg (in hungarian) -> use hu.wikipedia.org for search
wikipedia sg (in french) -> use fr.wikipedia.org for search
etc.
if (in language) is empty -> use the english version of wikipedia (like now)
wikipedia sg (in hungarian) -> use hu.wikipedia.org for search
wikipedia sg (in french) -> use fr.wikipedia.org for search
etc.
if (in language) is empty -> use the english version of wikipedia (like now)

Why not use what already there?
Firefox provides a "search bar" http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/S.... It's easier to add new engines to it. http://mycroft.mozdev.org/ the Mycroft Project provides thousand of them.
It's also easier to customize it. For the english wikipedia we can customize its keyword: "we". For others languages we create specific keywords (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/S...).
No need to create a command for every site. We create a command to leverage what already in there; the functionality of the "search bar". Without useless duplication of functionality. Adding another site search is as easy as go to the web site and "add a keyword for this search".
In this specific case: go to the wikipedia site for the hungarian language; right click inside the search box and "add a keyword for this search".
PS: Could you add ESC to dismiss the window. Thank you. -

if (in language) is empty -> use the default parameter defined in the command script
I’m happy

I'd say : if (in language) is empty -> use the default parameter defined in the command script
And use the same kind of tips for EBay, Amazon, etc...
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Perhaps short words for different languages should be added too.
English=en
French=fr
Danish=da and so on -
Inappropriate?Now we have something like "wikipedia SEARCH_TERM in LANGUAGE"
To be honest, I'm not very happy with this solution. I come from Germany (by the way, please excuse may (hopefully not too bad) English) so every time I want to search wikipedia I have to type "wiki ... in ger". That's something that really bugs me, especially because I know that I will never do a "normal" search in English.
My idea was to define your language on the about:ubiquity page or detect it (http://groups.google.com/group/ubiqui...) and to read it out in the wikipedia-search script.
This way I would be able to search wikipedia without the "in ger" but also to search the English wikipedia by typing "wiki ... in en"
(same thing for the other searches, of course)
I’m frustrated
