Windows update resets default email client.

You can have Thunderbird automatically check when it opens if it is the default email client. This way every time you open it, it will check. To do this:
1) Open Thunderbrid
2) Go to Tools, then Options.
3) On the General tab, check the box that says "Always check to see if Thunderbird is the default mail client on startup."
