AUTOCOMPLETE DOESN'T WORK IN WINDOWS 7

Loaded Thunderbird V. 2.0.0.23 into Windows 7 as I don't like the client from Microsoft. Saved my e-mail contacts to a csv file from Outlook Express and imported into Thunderbird with no problems. Generally I love Thunderbird, but Autocomplete refuses to work whatever I try. Help please.
