How do i set firefox as my default browser in Thunderbird?
Thunderbird has now started using IE8 to open links in emails, I want it set back to use Firefox, help please. IE8 updated and now has set thunderbird to use it when I click on links.
Have seen a few things on-line hinting at what i should do but i need a clear instructions. Annoying that it was able to change it! How was it able to?
Still any help to solve this would be super, thanks. I much prefer FF to IE!

Inappropriate?Open your Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs, click the tab labeled "Set Program Access and Defaults", and there you can change your default browser in a way that Windows should actually recognize.

Inappropriate?The answer if have since found out is this;
In Firefox, go to "Tools" on the menu bar at the top then click "Options"
Click on "Advanced" In the "General" section at the bottom make sure that "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on start up" is checked.
You can also click the "Check Now" button to do it straight away.
Thanks to my friend who knew straight away. Shame IE does it every time it updates!!
