How to make new email account NOT come in under local folders
I've added a new email account to Thunderbird that is currently coming into my general inbox under local folders. I'd like it to appear separate, with its own inbox, sent, delete etc. Help!

Inappropriate?I use Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 and just consolidated all of email accounts in Thunderbird.
When setting up your new accounts, the third screen you see is the Server Information screen. At the bottom of that screen it asks you if you want to use the Global Inbox (this is the inbox under Local).
Uncheck this box and it will set up a seperate inbox and trash can for your new account. You will need to create your own 'sent', 'drafts, and 'templates' folders in the new account and then tell Thunderbird to use them in the Copies & Folders section under the account settings.
I’m confident!
