Links in Thunderbird messages will not open, in Kubuntu!
I just installed Linux Kubuntu 9.04 and managed to install Thunderbird, and Firefox. However I am having a terrible problem. I cannot open links in e'mails. This is not only annoying, it is totally frustrating. I have attempted to google for an answer, but have only seen some suggestions that I really don't understand. I have attempted to set Thunderbird as my default e'mail program, but not really sure if it "took". Any suggestions on how to correct this problem will be appreciated!

Inappropriate?Hi Kenny:
So your problem is Firefox doesn't launch when you click on a link in an email in Thunderbird, right?
If so, then please follow the instructions here:

I’m hopeful that this helps

I've got Kubuntu , there is no "components" or "components chooser" as mentioned in the solution <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_bro...> therefor not a solution. In what way has this problem been solved? Sorry if I sound angry I'm just frustrated. -
Thanks for your input! I tinkered around and solved it by myself. When I installed Firefox, in Kubuntu. I had an older version of Firefox. I uninstalled it, and installed the latest version. Everything worked fine after that. I also cut and pasted my old profile into the new folder, so I did not lose my settings.
