Mac OS X 10.5.7 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 corrupt content
When I send an email with a PDF attachment and the receiver uses exchange 2007 I get an error returned saying that the content is corrupt. I have been advised the change the mime encoding type. How do I do this?

Inappropriate? So by Exchange 2007 do you mean Outlook Web Access or do you mean Microsoft Outlook 2007? This is like saying "Your website gives me popup ads because it's hosted on an apache server", the server has nothing to do with your browser's poor popup blocking. Exchange 2007 is just an e-mail server, albeit a very bulky one. Technically, one can (if the admin allows it by enabling IMAP) check an Exchange 2007 server with Thunderbird.
Can you send me a PDF, I'll open it in Apple Mail and see what happens. E-mail is tom (aaaaattttt) moznews (dddddooooottttt) com. Replace aaaaattttt and dddddooooottttt accordingly. -
Inappropriate? All emails get delivered fine so long as the receiving server is not Exchange 2007. It doesn't matter what the receiver's mail client is because their server returns it to me with the error code:
#554 5.6.0 STOREDRV.Deliver; Corrupt message content ##
Tom I will get an email to you later today. -
Inappropriate? After googling for that error, it seems quite a few people are getting it and not just with Thunderbird. Ctrl+F for STOREDRV on You had me at EHLO.
Someone had this on ClarkConnect and someone else posted useful links.
People on MSExchange.org say "it's because you're running an antivirus on your exchange server", so I'm thinking you might want to point the admin of the Exchange server to that thread.
A thread on microsoft.public.exchange.admin says that there are updates for Exchange 2007 that should be applied.
There's a microsoft technet thread on the issue. And another.
In the future, giving exact error messages are a lot more helpful so just post those in the original post.
