Problems with file mozMapi32.dll when installing
Hi, I had Thunderbird installed and working fine, but I got a message saying to update so I clicked yes. It then went through this loop where it said it couldn't install properly as I had to close all existing applications (even though I had nothing open). I would try to get out of but nothing I did would stop the loop occuring. So I unistalled Thunderbird, when to install it again this morning, but i am now getting a message saying error opening file for writing: mozMapi32.dll? Do you have any idea how I can resolve this issue. THanks

I think my problem is solved - i went to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird... and followed the advice about the Quickcam software conflict and it sorted it all out ... for now at least ...
Thanks

Inappropriate? It sounds like you haven't tried simply restarting your computer. That would probably resolve the issue, but you'd possibly have to uninstall and reinstall one more time.

Inappropriate?I have exactly the same problem ... and restarting the computer did nothing to help. I cannot open tb anymore. Is it normal for the updates to go from 2.0.0.19 to 2.0.0.21 - did i miss 2.0.0.20?
I’m frustrated

Hi Paul,
Sometimes we do skip release numbers to keep in sync with Firefox. In this case, there was no 2.0.0.20. -
