sending WORD files
when sending a word file from a MAC oftentimes cannot open in word (even if it's going to a mac!)
How can it be sent and automatically add .doc?.

Inappropriate?I don't have Word on my Mac but I don't think this is a Thunderbird problem.
The only thing I can think of is that Microsoft Word is not set as the default application for .doc files.
To fix this:
1. Navigate to any Microsoft Word .doc file
2. Control click and select Get Info
3. Under "Open with", change it to Microsoft Word and click "Change All..."
I’m confident this is not a Thunderbird issue
