Switching from Netscape 7 Browser AND E-Mail to Firefox and Thunderbiard
Good Morning; I alrady have FireFox, and Thunderbird on my new lap top. But on my MAIN Desk Top Office computer, I still havae Netsacpe 7 mail, and and browser. It is getting quite antiquated, and I already use Firefox, but have to cut and paste URL's for Netscape 7 Web browser is default, when you are using Netscape Mail, and you click on a link.
When I install Thunderbird, and chose the automatic transfer of addresses, and all, do you think it would then be safe to erase, and delete all the Netsape 7 programs and files??

Inappropriate?Hi Steven,
Should be safe to uninstall once you do the transfer and you're happy that all data is moved over. Some of the profile data I believe does stick around so you would have to delete those files too.
Netscape 7.x to Firefox and Thunderbird is the right migration/upgrade path.
