Why do Bookmarks take so long to open?
When I open Firefox version 2.0 and click Bookmarks in the topmost menu, up to a whole minute passes before the list of bookmarks appears. Thereafter, when I click Bookmarks, they open instantly. How can I minimize the time required to open the Bookmarks the first time?

Inappropriate?I recommend upgrading to Firefox 3, it has lots of improvements to the bookmark system. http://www.getfirefox.com
It might also be because you have alot of Bookmarks or Live Bookmarks. How many of each do you have?

Inappropriate?Josh, thanks for the reply! I can't upgrade to FF3 because I work in a Facility in which IT supports maintains a standard environment for all workers and they won't upgrade yet.
I only have approximately 150 bookmarks. I don't know what a Live Bookmark is.
I don't know where the bookmarks reside. I suspect they are not on my PC but rather on a server somewhere and when I first open FF and click Bookmarks, they must load into a cache. Does this make sense? Where do the bookmarks reside?
I’m happy
