Why does Thunderbird only open email in IE?
How to open email links in Thunderbird in the browser of my choice! It will only open links in IE and I hate that program! I have looked everywhere and can't seen to find any where to change this. The browser I use is set as "default." Help!

Inappropriate?I assume you already have Firefox or some other web browser. My solution works with Firefox, but should work with Google Chrome or any other browser that sets itself up as the default browser.
Try going into IE, click on tools, then internet options. (If you don't have an old style menu bar that starts with the word "file," right click on an empty space and click on menu bar.) Go to "connections" tab and uncheck the box that says "tell me if IE is not the default browser." Shut IE down, then restart Firefox, which is set to be the default web browser unless you unchecked the box in Firefox. That process will make Firefox the default web browser, and clicking on a link in Thunderbird will open Firefox.

Inappropriate?I am using Safari. IE box was already unchecked and Safari is listed as the default browser. Thunderbird still opens IE when I click an email link. I just don't know what else to do!
I’m reeeeelly frustrated!
