Why does Mozy have to start the backup upload over if it's interrupted?
I sometimes close my laptop in the middle of a backup, and the upload process is stopped in the middle. When I wake the computer from sleep mode it forces me to restart the upload from the beginning. Besides being annoying, this seems wasteful of bandwidth.
There must be a way to resume the upload where it leaves off.

Inappropriate?Have you asked Mozy support about this? I'm guessing that they did not really anticipate Mac-style laptop sleep -- apparently it's nearly impossible to do this on a Windoze laptop. I have my doubts about the MacMozy developer's competencies... -
Inappropriate?If you stop a backup and restart it later, your previously backed up files are still safe, so there’s no need to worry. You won’t have to back those files up all over again. Mozy knows what you have already backed up and only needs to back up new or changed files.
The status screen will show the percentage completed of the current backup you are running. So even if you have already backed up 75% of your data and you stop and then restart your backup, it will show that you are starting at 0% again. This only refers to the current backup, not past backups. Your previously backed up files are still safe on our servers.
