Inappropriate?Hi Joseph,
Saving time depends on your computer (processor, memory, etc). And It also depends on the resolution/quality of the video format you are trying to save to. You can play around with various supported formats to get an optimal balance between quality VS saving time.
To speed up saving, some users close all other applications including applications running in the background.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?i have tried doing that, but i think i have to upgrade my computer to give the speed and the quality of HD i wanted. i am not literate about computers. can you tell me what kinds or specks that i should buy to give me the satisfaction i wanted for me to make my videos? thanks

Inappropriate? You can refer to the bottom of this page:
http://www.muvee.com/en/products/reveal/
Under recommended system requirements. You should get a reasonably good speed based on that specs. Since you are doing HD, please go for at least 2GB of Memory and 256MB of Video ram. Hope it helps.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Pentium (R) 4 cpu 2.8ghz
2.80ghz, 1.00gb of ram

I’m going for upgrades

Inappropriate? One thing you can do is to upgrade your memory from 1 GB to 2 GB. At the same time, may I know how long on average does it take your PC to save 1 min of muvee at HD resolution? Just want to set the expectation right, because the most powerful PC may still take quite a while to save to HD.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?it is about 55 min. to an hour to save 1 min. of muvee at HD resolution. and also when i play it in my DVD player the picture is not as clear as it in its original captures.
-
Inappropriate?1 min to take almost one hour is kinda long. However, it is most likely due to your memory of 1 GB, note that minimum of 2GB is recommended for HD saving/input. One thing you can do is to increase to 2 GB. As for the quality of HD resolution playback on DVD player, can I suggest you drop us an email at:
http://www.muvee.com/en/support/supp_...
We will then get the files from you to study.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Joseph... when you bought your computer, it wasn't optimized for this task
double or triple your memory and then go drop in a good video card... makes a world of difference
-
Inappropriate?I second Rick's suggestion.
- A muti-core machine performs encoding faster
- Having more memory reduces unnecessary disk swapping, especially with multi-core machines
- Having a good PCI-e graphics card speeds up rendering.
