Public profiles would be nice
It would be nice to be able to link to my profile on my personal homepage (I did anyway but of course it will only work for other members, as per my profile settings), in my e-mail signature, or wherever.
I guess you may have already thought of this and are not planning to implement it until you come out of beta?

Inappropriate?We're thinking about this one...
We're noodling the problem a couple of ways...
1. We can allow you to expose you myT profile to the world as an option. (You're right, we disabled this option during the beta.)
2. We were thinking of a "public" profile, something that you could create that would be seperate from your standard profile which members can see. (i.e. something with limited information, that it would be ok for the search engines / potential employers to see)
Which would you rather see?

Having a public and internal profile (a-la LinkedIn), with the user being able to configure what is visible on the public version, is a nice idea.
But honestly I would be happy with even the simplest implementation: just one profile - and you check a box to allow or disallow public viewing.
Of course if you wanted to get really fancy you could even have three kinds of profile - the one only your friends see (a-la Facebook); the one all myT users see; and a public one. All user configurable. Good luck with that :-)
