Why can't I send SMS messages?
I have bought a SIM Card yesterday....the 64K globe sim card and it seems I cannot send SMS exce[t the Balance Inquiry. Everytime I text using my cellphone, a Samsung E250i, I always get the word "Error". I have tried to switch SIMS with my dad and tried texting from my his cellphone to my phone and it still doesn't work....only the Balance Inquiry has been the only one allowed to be texted.
So anybody willing to help me here.

Inappropriate?Hi Irene. There should actually be no problem with the OFW SIM if used correctly. As long as there is load then it can be used for texting or calling. As long as the provisions are followed then connection of the roamer will be seamless. If we have the details of the problem account, we will be able to check the cause of the problem and correct it i necessary; we shall be happy to assist you. Inappropriate?hi im currently in Jeddah, KSA...I received a text from 2884 this morning saying that my roaming service will be expiring on july 28, so i told my mom in the phils to load my number so that i can extend my roaming service. i tried to txt GROAM EXTEND 180 but it just won't send. could someone help me on this? i don't want my roaming service to be cut.

Hi Steph. Please turn off roaming by texting GROAM OFF to 2884. If you still can't send SMS please provide us with your mobile number so we can reactivate the SMS service. Inappropriate?Hi I have a question regarding my OFW sim. My phone is on roaming and i have a 150 peso load. I sent a text to my friend in the Philippines, but when i tried to text the second time it said "check network services, or sometimes it will say "unable to send text"....I don't know how it happened but I was really surprised that I was out of load in one day..how did I know I was out of load? because "check network services is what will appear on the screen if I dont have enough balance. And another thing is that the manual says i can check my balance for free, but I cant.
And is it possible that i can register for unlimited text or call while roaming? I just saw it in Globe services on my phone. If not, when is Globe going to have an offer where the Ofw's can send unlimited text or call so we can talk to our loved ones in the Phillipines without spending alot of peso per text/call?

Good day.
Kindly provide us your mobile number for further checking. Also, you may try these procedures for possible resolution:
1. Restart the handset, turn it off and on
2. Perform manual network selection, can be found under network settings, network selection, choose manual (handset dependent)
3. If unit is 3G, turn off 3G, can be found under network settings, network mode, choose GSM mode only (handset dependent)
4. SIM card transfer, try your SIM card to other handset and try another SIM card to your unit to test the service.
Should you encounter the same problem, please send us the following details for further checking:
-Handset being used
-Other Globe/TM subscribers who are experiencing the same problem
-Their handset models
-Exact location (number, street, barangay, city, zip code)
