Instant viewing playback keeps stopping even video quality is high
As the title says. this problem is really annoying, And when it's stopped, there doesn't seem to be any buffering. It just pauses right there. How frustrating is it to view a movie with constant interuption? Sometimes if you wait for 20 minutes, if you're lucky, the playback will assume for maybe another 5 minutes, then stops again. I remeber when instant viewing was frist introduced, I didn't have this problem...
Why does Netflix even bother to invest on the "instant viewing" (which ironically isn't instant at all), if the typical cable internet connection can't keep up with it?

Inappropriate?I have the same problem but mine doesn't stop for that long (maybe be for 15 seconds). I played it on friend's laptop (same internet connection) and it plays fine so I think its something to do with my laptop (Gateway 1.6 ghz dual-core 3 gb RAM). I increased the virtual memory to 4.5 gb but that didn't resolve it.

Inappropriate?I cancelled my Netflix subscription b/c the new Silverlight player does not work. The "help" desk I called was no help at all. I am Twittering this, Facebooking it, and everything else I can think of.
Very disappointing. I just want to be able to use the "old" player again.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? The other player was so much better. I don't like getting interrupted 5 times in 40 minutes. :-(
I’m FRUSTRATED

Inappropriate?I have the same problem since I just loaded sliverlight and the call center claims its my internet connection and I cant play movies at all. With the other one it might stop every once in awhile to buffer but I atleast got to watch the movies with it
-
Inappropriate?Actually, if you uninstall both Netflix player and Silverlight and then just install Silverlight, it works great. The Netflix player was the issue for me

Inappropriate?I actually have it working now since I downloaded Mozilla Firefox as my search engine. It takes awhile to buffer but it works so apparently its not my internet provider like the help center said it was.
