memory leak ?
Hi,
First I have to say I've been a loyal netvibes user for now more than a year and I find it simply amazing, now I can't even go on the web without it !
However, I have a small problem that's been causing me a lot of trouble... At first I though it was caused by my firefox which was starting to get full of addons but now that I changed my computer and had to reinstall everything, I realised it was still happening even without anything added to firefox, and it's happening only when I'm on netvibes.
As I am writing this, I only have one other tab opened and it's showing one of my netvibes tab. I also have my task manager opened and I can see firefox's memory usage rising constantly. As you can see in the screenshot, memory usage for firefox is abnormally high, and I don't know what's causing this...
here is a link to my netvibes page http://www.netvibes.com/twe4k#BUZZ you will probably be able to reproduce the problem...
I hope you can help me fix this because it's now the only thing separating netvibes from perfection for me !
thanks a lot for your help.

Inappropriate?Thank you for your screenshot and your link but unfortunately we can't reproduce this problem.
Netvibes is using intensely JavaScript and it does not yet seem to be well managed by all browsers. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. -
Inappropriate?ok thanks
I'll try doing a little testing in chrome just to see... If I remember correctly, performance should be somewhat better
I'll also see with the latest FF 3.1 beta with the new javascript engine, things will go better I hope...
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?upon further testing with firefox 3.1 beta 3, I could reproduce the problem and noticed that it happens when I switch too fast from one tab to another, for example, if I don't wait for everything in the tab to fully load...
However, using chrome, I couldn't reproduce the bug either, so I guess it is effectively caused by the browser.
Well, thanks a lot for your answer, and I hope these details will be of help for you...
I’m thankful
