Why can't I choose the specific services I want to pay for instead of having packages?

I wonder why everyone is doing it, but looking at the available subscriptions for NewRelic had me wonder.



What if I want transaction traces but not weekly comparisons? Maybe the incident analysis isn't what I want or I have another solution to do that?

What I'd really want is to be able to select individual services I want to buy, and pay for them piecemeal.

So for example, maybe each service is 10 USD/month/host. That leaves the total subscription price nearly the same from what it is right now for bronze and silver. This way you could even see which services are more popular and change your infrastructure and code to match people's expectations.

Anyway, I wanted to open a discussion on this and see if that's something that could be possible.
