Basecamp integration? Issue to To Do migration
I haven't even entered a ticket yet, but one idea occurs to me: Support access to the Basecamp API and the ability to selectively migrate an issue into a Basecamp To Do. I envision maintaining a separation between project tracking and bug tracking between the two apps, but sometimes the end-user doesn't know what's a big vs. something that should be tackled as part of the project.

This is a good idea, and we're starting to hear requests along this line more and more. Integration with other tools (Basecamp being one of the primary ones) is definitely on the list. It's a little lower priority right now because we want to see how people work between them, but it's definitely something we'll continue to look into.
So, while it may be a little while, we ultimately hope to integrate as seamlessly as possible with as many other relevant products as we can.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Inappropriate? This would be nice. I use Basecamp and was just discussing how the features found in Sifter fill a gap in Basecamp's functionality.

Inappropriate? This is a great idea, with a Sifter API would be pretty simple to implement.

Inappropriate? My agency is working with Basecamp and looking into using Sifter.
My biggest worry is redirecting customers from Basecamp to Sifter for issue tracking. While we wait for further Basecamp integration, allowing me to give customers not only a Sifter username but also a password would be an improvement for now. Our customers could then at least log in in Sifter the same way they do in Basecamp. -
They can always change their password when they first login. I know that's not ideal, but it's definitely possible for them to use the same password to login.
I'm not sure this is the precise solution we'd use, but we definitely want to make it easier to manage all of the user accounts by leaning on Basecamp. Ultimately, as a lot of our customers will be using Basecamp, we want to minimize the amount of effort spent maintaining different systems and user accounts. This is definitely the kind of feedback that will help us understand what's important when we do that integration. -
Inappropriate? One thing that would help that might be quicker to implement would be to have the Basecamp and Highrise contacts available as users. My Basecamp contacts would be my partners. My Highrise contacts would be my clients.
Adding ToDo or Tasks and 'completing' them would be awesome but a much larger task.
I’m hopefull

I'm not sure how much easier it would be, but it's definitely more likely that we'll focus on importing or syncing users/companies. :) -
This would work fine for me, as long as the clients' interest (in this case, easy access to both Basecamp and Sifter) isn't overlooked. Good luck, looking forward to a new release!
