PSD file support
When working with development we need to upload files like PSD, but you don't support that.

Inappropriate? Can you give me a little better understanding of how this need fits into your team's workflow? We're considering expanding the types of files we support, but we're being pretty cautious about it. So the better we understand your team's workflow, the easier it is for to provide the best solution.
I’m thankful for the feedback

Inappropriate?Yeah we have (or had at least) different designer and back end developer, so I create the issue (new feature) and add the PSD file from the designer, then assign to back end developer who will code it together. Of course we can email, but it's nice to have the file with the issue.
It seems to me like a lot of folks work this way, but maybe not since I was the only person to send feedback. -
Inappropriate? So, is it more about delivering the PSD from the designer to the developer than it is about tracking a specific issue?
Or, a better question might be, is there a specific reason you'd like to keep it as a PSD rather than just send a JPG?
I’m curious

Inappropriate?Yeal the developer uses PSD files in the actual code so he needs them one way or another. I assumed that most sites did, but not sure.
-
Inappropriate?Yeah, I think plenty of people (myself included) use PSDs when doing front-end development. I had just never really thought of using Sifter to track requirements/new features in that way, but it seems like something we'd definitely want to support.
I'll have to look into it a bit more. There are two speedbumps that come to mind. The first would be making sure that ImageMagick/Rmagick can create a thumbnail from the PSD, and the second is the 10mb file size limitation. It is intentionally low to make sure that the process doesn't take too long, and I can't imagine that all of the PSDs would be under 10mb.
I’m cautiously optimistic

Inappropriate? Both good points, though my guess not too big of problems.
Let me know how you'd like to receive this feedback, I'm happy to open new issues, but...
we'd also like the ability to paste html in the comments for tracking/sharing.
and would love to assign version numbers to issues so we know what's getting fixed/implemented for what release.
That's all for now. Thanks a lot. -
This is the best place for feedback. If it's a new topic do a quick search to see if it's already covered. Otherwise, feel free to create as many new topics as you need. It helps if each topic only covers one thing so that we can easily specify the status. If it's a large group of topics, we have to split them out.
There's already a couple of threads that discuss embedding markup...

I assume by version numbers, you mean releases or milestones, and that's definitely something we plan to do. However, it's a little further down the list. (It's something that's personally driving me nuts right now, so it will get in there eventually.) -
Inappropriate?Sounds good, thanks a lot Garrett.
