Status icon looks too much like a button.
I often try to click the status icon when I want to open a issue. Maybe it looks too much like a button? Just a thought.

Inappropriate?I like the idea too. We have several lists in our product that are similar to this (ex: queue of reports with a status) and we also had multiple customers request to be able to click the status to open the report.
