Weird Redirects on Home Page
Since the last update, I'm experiencing the following redirects:
* https://me.sifterapp.com shows the public "Sign up for the sifter beta" page. I would expect this to redirect to my dashboard page or the login page, but it doesn't.
* http://me.sifterapp.com redirects to my dashboard page or prompts me to login (so the non-SSL version works as expected).
* https://me.sifterapp.com/dashboard shows my home page (as expected).
I'm using Safari as a Fluid single-site application to use Sifter. I also recreated this bug in Firefox 3 on Mac OS X.
My guess is that there may be some Nginx/Apache rewrite rule that wasn't copied over to the https section.

Inappropriate?Your guess is exactly correct. It's a known issue that I plan on resolving shortly. I should be able to get to it today or tomorrow.
Thanks for reporting it, though. In the meantime, just remember to append a specific page url or use the non-SSL version which will redirect to the appropriate page.
I'm sorry for the confusion.
I’m all over it
