Eliminate: Wait for Power Cells, not more energy.
I really enjoy playing Eliminate, but there's a few things that could be improved upon.
1. Have wait times restore Power Cells, not Energy.
2. Shorter wait times.
3. Option to veto maps before they start.
4. More maps.
Waiting for power cells gives players the option to trade them for either credits or energy, so they can choose to play immediately or store up and upgrade their weapons/armor.
4 hours wait to play one game for a chance to get 20-70 credits is outrageous, especially when weapons and upgrades cost hundreds of credits a piece.
The map selection scheme in Halo works well enough, why not implement it in Eliminate? Show what map is about to be played, give players the option to reject the map, 3/4 majority rules. Then the next map is forced, so there won't be endless loops of vetoing.
Even for a mobile FPS, the selection of maps on Eliminate is scant. While having only 5 maps gets the job done without making the game too monotonous, more maps would increase replay value substantially.

Inappropriate? The only problem is that you could simply not play for a month and then come back to hundreds of power cells.
-
That's a problem? lol.....

Inappropriate? That's a crappy idea shutup with you're crappy ideas you crappy ideas person...I know that was gay but seriously shutup I like Eliminate just how it is now.
I’m angry with Armageddon

Thanks for being kind about it... :P -
Inappropriate?Or maybe only gain power cells once the energy bar is completely full, and slowly at that. Maybe something like 1-2 power cells per 4 hours only after you have a full energy bar.
I’m ok with being told I'm wrong
-
Inappropriate?-Keep 12 energy = 3 games and 4 power cells = 1 game, but give one power cell each 240 minutes wasted not earning back energy. A nice "welcome back" to players who haven't played in a while without giving people reasons to horde energy (it's only a quarter of what you'd get if you played regularly, which is already not a lot).
-I think I'd rather have TDM than new maps. But they'd be nice. -
Inappropriate?sorry, I would just be pretty sad if they changed it like that. Though I do agree with you that after having a full energy bar to maybe getting 1-2 power cells per 4 hours.
I’m silly

Inappropriate?EDIT to original idea:
According to public opinion so far, which I'm currently agreeing with, we would like to see:
- Still 4 hour waiting time
- Restore energy one game at a time until bar is full, max of 3 games
- Every 4 hours past max will result in 1 power cell
Does that sound about right?
About the 4 hrs = 1 power cell thing, I was thinking power cells could be 1 per day, so players won't amass a horde of them, but we still do get about 2 "bonus" energized games per week. Yea or nay?
I’m glad this is actually getting some response
