Inappropriate?I'm not sure if you can. I guess it's part of the fact that the game is free. You don't lay out money but in turn you have to sign up for plus+. Seems fair. Why wouldn't you wanna join? It's completely free and they DO NOT spam your email account :-)
I’m happy

I didn't have to do so before the 1.5 update. I don't want to have to track yet another terms of use document, and I don't want to have to create an online account for an application that neither has nor has ever had a legitimate reason to go online.
If it isn't possible to do so now, can an update be published that makes the game playable without signing up for an account? It's such a silly reason to not be able to run an application any more. -
Inappropriate?Ahh ok np. Well I experimented for you and I have a plus acount. So I went into the game and logged out of it and it still let me play like before. Maybe when they ask you to join plus try clicking "cancel" or some other equivalent that's there. Anything but "join" ad see what happens. Let me know.
I’m confident

Currently, the only other option is to cancel signing in/up, which brings one back to the "You should sign in/up!" screen. Unless I'm missing something, it is impossible to get into the actual application when it has never been signed in before. -
Inappropriate?Well if that's the case I'm shocked but like I said it's probably a tradeoff for never paying for the app. It's a way for ngmoco to ensure (at least in theory) that they can continue to grow their plus+ user base. However I see two options if there really is no work around.
1. Create a "throw away" account with an email account you don't use and then once signed in go into plus and log out. (not recommended)
2. Ask a friend to sign into their plus+ account on your device and then once again when signed in go into plus and log out. (recommended)
I hope one of those two options works. Let me know.

Inappropriate? As with any Plus+ enabled app, if your iPhone or iPod has not Internet connection, you can skip the Plus+ registration screen. If you do this enough times, the Plus+ screen will eventually have a "No thanks" button even if you are connected to the Internet. On the iPhone, switch to Airplane Mode before starting the game. On the iPod Touch, simply disable your wireless connection.
To the person above that says they don't spam you, perhaps you should try reading their Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Look at this statement from the latter: "We may use your name and email address to contact you with announcements, newsletters and other updates related to our Services, to send advertisements and marketing messages to you or to offer you opportunities to participate in a Promotion via our Services. "
I’m annoyed

I am sure it says that. I'm not saying it doesn't. I am however speaking from a users pov by saying that thus far I have received no marketing ploys, miscellaneous emails, or anything of that nature other than two plus+ related emails announcing games. When I said spam I meant like "we will sell your email accounts to other companies" type emails. That's all. Sorry for the confusion. But yea you're correct the agreement clearly states this. +1 -
How many times do I need to start up the app before the "No thanks" button shows up? -
How many times do I need to start up the app before the "No thanks" button shows up? So far I've tried around ten. -
Inappropriate?Did you set your iPhone set to Airplane mode first?
-
Yes. -
Inappropriate? After starting up the game 20 times with networking turned off and still not seeing anything resembling a "No thanks" button I've given up and uninstalled the game. I'm not going to use a game that requires me to either shut off networking or create an undeletable account on a third-party social network I don't want to use, especially when registration requires an email address and the privacy statement can be updated at any time without notice.
I guess I'll keep watching for updates in case an update makes this game fully-functional again...
I’m disappointed
