Star Defense Difficulty
Easy options on Star Defense. I maybe just terrible at this game but I feel past Level 2 I'm out of my depth and keep getting defeated, I therefor don't want to play the game again

Inappropriate?... There is an easy, medium, and hard. Which one are you playing on?
-
Inappropriate?ok yeah i think i set it to easy, just finding it hard :/ maybe not for me
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?the hardest level i've had so far is the medium (or normal) difficulty level 3 (the green level)..very frustrating.
-
Inappropriate?its level 2 easy for me, i feel that theres too many waves and not enough progression for this.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I just played through level 2 on medium... the trick is to put most of your towers in the area where the path runs parallel to itself for a while. That way your towers have twice the time to shoot the S'rath

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? You should always look at the level before starting and think about where your towers would be most effective.
-
Inappropriate?I agree. I gave up playing this game. The game is too hard, even on easy.

Inappropriate?Hey guys, don't give up!
Kyle has given some great tips. Other things to think about is that this game is all about finding the proper spots for towers and then focusing on those.
General rule of thumb is that upgrade is always better than building a new tower.
Other than that it's maximizing potential. Electric towers for example, you really don't need to build one or two to win. They hit every single target in their range with each blast and as long as you upgrade them early, they deal devastating damage to everything.
Hoping the community will keep chiming in with additional tips, but that's my contribution.

"Electric towers for example, you really don't need to build one or two to win. Not everyone will check the forums for "tips" -
I have managed to get through all levels on all difficulties. Over 100 rounds on each of the challenges and free play. As Allen says the whole thing is placing carefully based on the map, and learning the right balance between the different tower types. -
Inappropriate?Does the upgrade just increase the space or does it actually make the tower stronger ? Electric towers I presume are the yellow and green ones in early levels.
Thanks for the tips
I’m confident

Inappropriate? The towers do more damage as they get upgraded, and the blue ones are the electric towers (available on the third planet).
In the early levels, use lots of the fire towers. The gauss cannons are not too effective. -
Inappropriate?Ah right, I've just kept adding more and more
The fire ones are yellow and green then ?
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?bullets are red, yellow is fire, green slows down your enemies, and blue is electric. the 5th tower is a 2nd, more powerful bullet tower.
-
Inappropriate?I don't build Electric towers. They shoot far too slowly, have such limited range even at maximum upgrade.
They are useful at the early stages, but beyond wave 30 they are more or less defunct. For the slow units (Quigor, Probe, Man-o-war) they have too much health for the tower to dent them, and the other faster units only get hit once if you're lucky.
My rule of thumb: for every 6 pyro towers, build 2 Quantum and 1 goo tower. -
Inappropriate?I only build fire and bullet towers, and try to have a constant fire of fire (=P).
However, on the levels Sorsiti(green) and Cabal installation(silver cube) I need more bullet towers than fire, because of lack of quantum launchers.
Unfortunately, I don't believe that there is enough money to build enough fire and bullet towers on the hard difficulty.
Because of this, I think it makes those levels near-impossible. There are a few people who have beaten these levels on hard (UltraJellyMan), but most people can't.
I’m Hoping that the difficulties get tweaked again, or gauss turrets get more powerful on hard difficulty.
