Volume Button as Trigger
Would it be possible to make the "trigger" function controlled by the volume button in Eliminate? The screen would have to be rotated 180 degrees which wouldn't be that difficult and I feel like firing would feel much more natural

Inappropriate?I'm hoping something like this gets implemented, because the current shooting arrangement is a bit cumbersome.

Inappropriate?IMO, using the volume button would be really awkward. You'd have to use one hand just for that button, which only leaves one hand to control both movement and the camera.
You'll get used to the current controls soon, they're pretty much the best you can get for the iDevice considering it has no buttons.

As Orie says this would not be awkward in the least if the screen were flipped. I am starting to get used to Eliminate's control system, but I still think it could be better.
I agree with Will about what this would do to volume adjustment, but if you're using the headphones that come with all new devices then you can use that instead of the buttons. If you're using the speaker then it's not too hard to just do as Orie says and change the volume before you start playing. And if it's really loud then you could just slid your palm over the speaker (on the iPhone at least, I'm not sure where the speaker is in the new touches). If it's too quiet then it's not really a problem as you can change it once the game ends.
Better yet would be an options menu in the pause menu with a volume slider and other control tweakers available. -
Inappropriate? Not true. If you have both of your thumbs placed where they would be currently you can very easily reach the volume button with your index finger like a bumper button on the 360. This is obviously only possibly if the screen is flipped 180 from its current orientation.

Inappropriate? This isn't to say that they would have to do away with the current control scheme entirely, but I think it would be a great option for those who are used to not lifting their thumb off the aiming control all the time.

Inappropriate? What if you wanted to change the volume?

Inappropriate?Just do it before the game starts, and if you really needed to turn the volume down in game, you could do it through the pause menu.
