When will the shop feature be put on Star Defense?
When will additional levels be available on star defence? When will When will the next update for Star Defense be available? Will the update include a shop for the game where you can use in app purchase to download additional weapons, planets and galexies?

Inappropriate?I believe that star defense didn't sell well enought to justify the production of additional levels. Most folks buy cheap $1 apps which makes the app store a very competitive marketplace - once an app is out the Top 20 (which are dominated by cheap apps) - the sales get very poor. I'd be very surprised to see additional content in the near future. I bet ngmoco is working on some new titles such as the egoshooter which will get all the marketing attention. new games just sell better.
another sign that they buried star defense in a way is the fact, that no staff member answers questions here any longer. also star defense disappeared from ngmocos twitter activities.

Inappropriate?Actually, someone said they got an e-mail from RoughCookie saying a new update was coming out. Whether this means we're getting the promised new map packs is anyone's guess.

I'm posting this response in multiple threads, so some of you may get repeat answers.
As we've stated numerous times before, we chose getsatisfaction because we firmly believe that users should help each other out. (http://getsatisfaction.com/ngmoco/top...). Of course, we will chime in when appropriate, but for the most part, we are happy to watch our great community take control.
Of course, that doesn't help on questions/concerns where users have no information. With this Star Defense issue that has risen, we apologize for leaving everyone in the dark.
I am though, very happy that some users have taken it upon themselves to find the answers, and to confirm those actions, yes, we are finalizing an update and that will be ready very soon. We love Star Defense and we will continue to support it, just like we do with all our other games. Unfortunately, this update will not include in-app commerce and "the Shop".
For the shop, we're continuing to experiment and decide on the best possible way to present this for our customers. Since in-app commerce is such a new idea in this space, we're chewing on all the consumer feedback and making sure our fans get exactly what they want. When we feel we have reach that point, then you can be sure we'll release an update for Star Defense with the shop. If we don't think we can launch the shop and have it be a great feature and system for everyone, we'll keep churning on it here.
That being said, we'll continue to work on our existing titles and of course the new ones coming out.

Inappropriate?I know that people on this forum (including myself) are very skeptical about the continued development of star defense... Well in an effort to get answers cause god knows ngmoco ain't answering I emailed RoughCookie (the actual developer behind star defense) and asked what was up and reported someof the bugs that we are complaining about and this is the exact email verbatim.

Thanks for your feedback.
We are currently wrapping up a new update, please keep an eye on the App Store!

Inappropriate?Still no in-app purchase. I'm disappointed because one of the reasons I purchased the game was because I thought I would be able to purchase more levels once I completed them all. Now I've completed all planets on hard & the game is boring. So I don't play it anymore. This is what happens to all games for me & I was excited to have a game where once I'd won all the levels I could simply buy more. Oh well. false advertising sucks!
