How can I use nike + ipod with iphone?
I was excited to get the Nike + ipod accessory to track my recently re-engaged running routine. I shelled out the $30 and couldn't wait to see the really cool data download of my distance, time, etc. at the Nike website.
To my deep chagrin I got the device home and realized that, despite being sold as an Apple accessory, it won't work on the iPhone. It only works on the newer iPods (ie, nano) or iPod touch. That sucks!
I've already spent several thousand dollars on laptops, my 1G iPhone, a 30" cinema display, several accessories...the list goes on. But at this point I'm feeling abused by Apple. What? Am I supposed to go buy another iPod (oh yeah, forgot to mention I already own two iPods) just to use this accessory? That's a no go.
So, the question is does anyone have a workaround or reference to a third party solution? I really want to use this.

I am so sorry about the Nike+ not working with the iPhone. I have done some research to see if anyone does have a work around and unfortunately I didn't find any.
I did, however, find a blog from a person with the same problem in not having the Nike+ work with the iPhone. He did have some great tips for different apps to use with the iPhone for running progress:

I have also sent a request to Nike and Apple to see if they might have more information as well. If I find any other information, I will let you know.
