How can I delete duplicate members?
I've had some people create duplicate accounts. Is there a way to delete one of the accounts instead of banning the duplicate account?

Hi all,
Wanted to give some context here:
Duplicate accounts happen when a member creates their account with 1 email address, and then later accidentally signs up again with a new email address and creates the account all over again.
To remove the duplicate profile, just contact the member and tell them how to leave the network while signed in to the duplicate profile. The profile they want to keep won't be affected in any way.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to merge these accounts. It might be possible someday, but it would mean re-doing some major core infrastructure.
As for "removing" a member without "banning" them, I can see how the language there might be a little harsh in some cases. We actually have an improvement for this in the works — right now it's scheduled for late August.
Thanks!
Nick

Inappropriate?I would also like the ability to delete accounts without banning them. I've been in situations before where I've had to ban old accounts for people when they've forgotten their login or changed their email.
I've also accidentally approved one or two people I wish I hadn't, but I don't really want them to know I'm on to them by banning them.

Inappropriate?Would be lovely to have this option... Now my members cannot even see the option to leave my network. What gives?
