NC easy 'manage' option to make the homepage multi-columned

Before you tell me that this can be done in CSS...I am well aware, but not all of the code is setup in the most flexible way to do this, namely the photo section widget.

Please give NC's the ability, as an easy option in the manage section to change how many columns display on the homepage, whether it be just one, two, or gasp, four.
