Total administration control over your Network
What we really need is an absolute control over our networks, not just a few options.

I cannot agree more to anything!
In Ning a Network Creator has no more rights than a regular member apart from the ability to delete anything. Real life is not black or white. If something is not good it does not mean you have to delete it nor that you should live with "not good" accumulating on your network and depreciating it over the course of time. Moderation in Ning is currently roughly defined as the ability to delete whatever. Moderation should include the ability to modify user content with the intent of correcting mistakes and keeping the level of content up to the desired standard. Users don't know how to format their content. Someone has to be able to correct it. This process will also help the user improve in the future. Content that looks bad makes the network look ugly.
Please allow network creators to control EVERYTHING in their network including the ability to delegate the control to other roles as they see fit.
For a best practice see the moderation options that GetSatisfaction provides and their change log. That's top quality stuff. Aim for that. Aim fast.

Inappropriate?can you be more specific? Send proposals so we can better understand your meaning and ... vote!
I’m unsure
-
YES!! -
That would be a great place to start start. -
Inappropriate?Agree - You can't get rid of duplicate accounts from a single member, or delete banned members. Photos that could be optimized have to be corrected through the person that uploaded them. Topics put into incorrect forums are sometimes impossible to move. Most of the time I feel like I merely clean up a network that Ning controls, and they really don't want any new ideas,,, which is why we've been pushed out to this hole in the wall.
I’m frustrated
-
I agree, Phil - this control is important! Users can still have their "Ning" profile, but what happens in the social networks we set up should be more under our control as Network Administrators... -
Inappropriate?...and the ability to restrict invitations to the network to administrators only (at present, the "Invite" tab cannot be deleted).
I’m frustrated, too!

I have been replacing all "invite" text with <!__hideme__> in the language editor which gets rid of the text, but I completely agree that this should be a controlled feature option, not a text hack...plus you can still go to the /invite page if you know to look for it. -
Inappropriate?we can't edit discussions, events, inappropiate usernames or images, we can delete anything but not just edit.
-
Yes.. This is a big one right here!!!!!!! -

I am also facing this issue ? We need to be able to control our own site. -

I agree ! -
Inappropriate?Agreed. NCs should be able to modify member content when necessary -- any and all content in the network.
-
Inappropriate?NC's definitely should be able to do a heck of a lot more than they can now. The way it is, we're puppets.
I’m concerned

True - oh so true ? -
Inappropriate?I agree
We also do need IP control as and mail and privet chat control
