I got my son a wii for christmas, it worked well for about 6 hours now when you insert a game it says cant read disk, I have tried 3 games all the same I cleaned same results does anyone have a trick PLEASE

Inappropriate?You are putting the disk into the machine in the correct direction, yes? When I got my Wii, I kept putting the disks in the wrong way.

Inappropriate?hmm. we scratched a disc one time without knowing it. those dvd games are incredibly fragile. are there any long scratches on your discs? -
Inappropriate?ok, we got a Wii for christmas and played it that night and the next day then today i played it again for about 5hours then i let my sister play, after she played for about 3 hours the little hand thing on the screen dissappeared, plz plz plz if anyone knows what to do ya gotta tell me! bc I am getting blamed for it!!

Inappropriate?Try reboting or reseting the operating system, that should clear up your problem. I know on PDAs and routers there is a little hole where you stick a needle or a tooth pick and you reset the OS, this should do the trick. -
Inappropriate?There has been a few people who have reported their Wiis being dead after a few hours of game play. Some sources are blaming the CD/DVD drives Nintendo is using. If you can't get your unit to work even after a reset, call Nintendo and ask for support.
