What are the best games to buy for Virtual Console?
As you may or may not know, the Wii Shopping Channel offers virtual NES/Super Nintendo/N64/Sega Genesis/Turbo Grafx/NEOGEO games in exchange for "Wii Points" (1000 WiiPoints= 10 bucks).
I'm using this as an opportunity to expand my game collection as well as expand my reasons to be embarassed about my secret life as a g4mer.
So far I've put myself out roughly 30,000 Wiipoints and purchased Street Fighter 2, ToeJam and Earl, and Shining Force.
Some games (ToeJam, Shining Force) can be controlled with the Wiimote, whereas other games require old school controllers.
So to those of you who have purchased any of these games for the Virtual Console, what are the best ones so far? There are 200+ games available, so it's important to wii-eed out the men from the boys.

Inappropriate?Excellent choices so far:
Here are my top 15 picks, in no particular order:
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Castlevania
- Tecmo Bowl
- Super Ghouls and Ghosts
- ActRaiser
- Super Metroid
- Street Fighter II
- Super Mario 64
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Golden Axe
- Streets of Rage 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- R-type
- Bomberman '93
These games haven't aged with time, unlike many VC offerings. Shining examples of the best videogames have to offer, these fifteen titles should make you a little less ashamed of your secret life.
I picked a few from each system. Only one from TurboGrafx because, well, the TurboGrafx sucked!

Inappropriate?Oh wow thanks! I'm definitely going to check some of them out. Which of those can be played with the Wiimote?
I’m 7 years old

Inappropriate?Oh man. I love Toejam and Earl. So hilarious and great music. Reminds me of Sifl and Olly.
Shining Force is quintessential!
I haven't played this before, but Sin and Punishment for N64 looks absolutely crazy. Did they translate this from Japanese to Englsih for Virtual Console or what?
I’m astounded by the variety!

Inappropriate? The elevator loading screen makes me want a quesadilla.

Inappropriate?Generally, NES games are playable with the Wii Remote. Some Super Nintendo games are playable with the Remote, but you're better off with a Classic Controller or Gamecube Controller. Same with N64 games.
To find out for sure, just look the game up within the Shop Channel. The description for each game includes information about which controller you'll need.
I’m glowing with nostalgia
