As Non-American I always pay something extra to get my account upgrades payed with MasterCard. It's annoying.
Is there or will there be a possibility to pay with PayPal? That would be an imporvement!

Inappropriate?There certainly will be. We're waiting for Spreedly to support recurring payments with Paypal which is on Spreedly's list of features to be implemented. So it'll happen, but I'm not sure when.
