I'd like that projects have a status field
I'd be really c00l to have at least a static options for project status (in planning, in progress, open, closed... something like that)
And maybe auto start / end dates

Inappropriate?We like to keep things simply and additional fields require more filling in. Even if they are optional they bloat the ui and make it a lot less approachable. Maybe you can use a project's description to establish your own status system? The number of open tasks is also a very meaningful readout.
We are not opposed to the idea of a project status but we have not found a good way of implementing it yet. We do however consider allowing people to "archive" projects to keep the list of projects manageable over time.

Where you can add custom fill or activate them from a list of default fields (date, status, others)
I dont know if custom fields (by example) would be too heavy for the database / system...
