It would be great to have a way to set deadlines on tasks.

I think if you could specify a specific deadline for a task to be met it would be much easier to prioritize tasks. Maybe you could even work in a graphical display of tasks according to when they're due. Almost every task has a deadline, so this seems like a critical element.
