Task Topics
It would improve clarity if users could add topics for tasks, which are shown on the task overview-pages. topics are always shown completely, the description is shortend to some amount of words.

Inappropriate?I assume you mean something like subject in emails?
We have decided against it as users tend to end up having to make up the body or subject es either one is often sufficient to capture tasks. It is also one more field to fill in which may provide value but comes at a cost - increased complexity.
I am not saying we wont do it eventually, but so far all feedback indicates that people prefer the ease of use of just one field to put their tasks in. And you are always free to arrange the information in that field es you see fit, e.g. with a brief summary on top.
