Keyboard Indent should indent notes...

Using the indent button on the keyboard causes the cursor to move to the next dialogue box rather than indenting the notes. This makes it difficult when typing notes in bullet point form, as clicking the indent button above takes time(not much more time, but when you have a fast-speaking teacher...it's enough.) Is there a way to change this setting?
