Should we use Get Satisfaction as our user forum?
Because of the growing spam problem on our Google Groups user forum, I would like to hear feedback about using Get Satisfaction as our main user forum. Please let me know if this is better or worse than our current Google Groups forum.

Inappropriate?Don't know yet. This is totally new to me.

Inappropriate?I frequent Dejumble's forum and like how it works. I would be open to moving it here.
I’m happy about the change.

Inappropriate?Hi Kevin
I would prefer a change. Google Groups lacks some features other forums have.
First impression: like the design. Quite light.
I’m positive about the change

Inappropriate?This looks kinda cool...
Yeah..the spam was getting lame on the other forums..
I’m excited about the possibilities

Inappropriate?Kevin, a change is nice...
I can't tell the features that this one has. I saw an RSS feed button, but I don't know if it will capture all the posts/replies in the forum or just the beginnings of new topics.
Having some sort of subscription service (RSS or e-mail) would be essential if you want to continue to increase participation on the forums. RSS is better, I think, if you can subscribe easily to the entire forum, and receive notifications of all postings in each discussion topic.
Though being able to receive an e-mail was good with google, too, since you could reply directly from Mail. I can't tell if you can do that with this forum.
I’m undecided. What features are available?

Inappropriate?I would welcome a change if there is still a way to participate in the discussions by email. I find email very convenient to archive things away, but I could not find whether this site offers it.
I’m undecided. Will we be able to use email?
-
Inappropriate?Yes. I think a hosted forum is better than a Google Groups/Yahoo Groups solution.
I’m psyched. Evolution is good.
-
Inappropriate?I fear that more spam would be coming to the Google Group since No Thirst group has been found by the spammers. And it would become a nightmare trying to find our discussions mixed in with the spam.
As far as I'm concerned this works just as good, for me, as Google does.
Mark
I’m curious to check out the RSS feed

Inappropriate?Hi Kevin, I think this looks like a good move - the spam in Google is a pain. I prefer the structure of forums like this to Google Groups, I find it easier to track conversations and quickly check for topics of interest.
I’m happy, it looks easier to follow conversations

Inappropriate?Does Get Satisfaction have a way to subscribe to discussions by email? I've really found that the best way to monitor the MoneyWell discussion. I fear even with RSS feeds I wouldn't be as "in sync" with the discussion as I am with the current email setup.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?I don't think Get Satisfaction allows replies by email. I did change the settings on our Google Groups so we get to review any first posts by new members and that seems to have stopped the spam for now. We may stick with our existing forum because it is better at email discussions.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I dunno about replying via e-mail, but subscribing to discussions is no problem. I believe that when you respond to a thread, you are automatically subscribed to it (I receive e-mail notification of updates to this thread, and the updates include the body of the message posted).
