places search, could be noticings search with place context?
"Places" page... seems rather useless. I search for "Austin"... and gobs of places having 0 noticings appear... my home town, having a few noticings from me, is not sorted to the top.
It feels like it should be a search for noticings with places as the context... not places as the principal result with noticing count displayed. Not sure how you'd approach it with the api calls available. But even just bubbling the places having noticings to the top would help?

Inappropriate?Sounds related to Bryan's suggestion in the thread for Searching for a place by name: "I'd really like search to understand hierarchy too, so if I search for "helsinki" it returns all the results for neighborhoods that are within HEL."

Inappropriate?Yeah, I totally agree - it's not particularly useful for town/city/county level at the moment. Unfortunately it's quite tricky to implement - but I'll have a think.
