No idea how filters are suppose to operate. No feedback on if value entered will filter content as desired. if there was a before/after view that would show what applying the particular filter would do to the incoming feed.

Inappropriate?Yes we really need a wiki.notify.me entry on how filters work. However, when you get used to them they end up being pretty simple.
The filters work as an OR constraint. So if you add the keywords "blue black" on an "include" filter we will only send you updates from a feed that have include either the words 'blue' OR 'black'.
exclude filters work under the same principles. If the message contains either the words blue or black we will discard the update.
